SRCN05 CWIS 082100 Ice bulletin for Lake St-Pierre area from Sorel to Trois-Rivières issued at 2100 UTC Friday March 8, 2024 by Montreal Ice Centre of the Canadian Coast Guard. This is the last bulletin for this season. Refer to ice bulletins SRCN01 & 02 for ice conditions between Montreal and Les Escoumins. Observed ice conditions: Sorel to S8 Open water S8 to Port St-François 2/10 grey-white 3/10 grey 1/10 nilas and new Port St-François to Trois-Rivières Trace to 1/10 grey-white Trace to 1/10 grey Remarks Mariners are advised to navigate with extreme caution in the vicinity of and in ice infested waters as ice conditions may be more extensive and/or severe than reported. Pieces of batture may break away from the fast ice edges and drift into the shipping channel at any time between Sorel and Trois-Rivières.
